ABOUT ME
I am a native of Galway City and have lived in Galway City East for over 20 years. A past pupil of Mervue National School and currently living in Doughiska.
I spent my early years living in Clareview Park in Ballybane. I am employed with the HSE and have held several roles with my employer, from working with older peoples services in Merlin Park Hospital, to PA roles, to project management and overseeing the distribution of PPE to the wider community in the West of Ireland.
I have spent most of my life volunteering in Sport and other areas. I am passionate about community no matter what the ask. Inclusion in the community is essential to create a supportive and welcoming environment where individuals from diverse backgrounds feel valued, respected and heard.
I am in my fourth year as a volunteer Director on the Board of Hockey Ireland, involved in decision making processes related to the governance and management of the sport at a national level, contributing to the overall development and success of the sport in Ireland. I have seen the impact sport has across all ages and backgrounds, having advocated for a multi-sport community facility in Millers Lane prior to standing for the 2024 local elections.
It is now time for me to bring my skills into the local community to advocate for everyone especially those who feel they don't have a voice. I too feel like I don't have a voice and I now want a say on your behalf in how our City and local community, (where we live, work and spend our money), progresses. I have been watching on from the sidelines and I feel It is now time for me to step onto a new pitch to enhance my community and my City on behalf of and with the help of others.
I am seeking your support in the 2024 elections to help me, to help you, to shape the future of our Community and City together.
I cannot and will not make unrealistic promises. My pledge to you, should you put your support behind me, is that I will always reply and do my utmost to reflect your wants and needs and be your voice in the City Council Chamber.
